Despite the death of Argentine born footballer, Emiliano Sala in a controversial air mishap, a fresh chapter have been opened over his transfer deal.
English club side Caridff City FC on Friday dragged French side, Nantes FC before the court of arbitration for sports(CAS).
Caridiff is urging the court to declare that it is not entitle to pay monies to Nantes as directed by FIFA.
FIFA’s player status committee, on 30 October 2019, mandated Cardiff to pay 600, 000 EUR to Nantes in connection with the transfer of Emiliano Sala.
Cardiff is wants the court to dismiss the decision by FIFA, while further requesting for a decision of the court declaring that no monies should be paid to Nantes.

The matter is slated to commence in spring, 2020.
