Kano to Launch Community Policing System Soon, Says Ganduje

Kano State government is about to legalise community policing in order to fortify the security of lives and property within its domain.
State governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje stated this during an interview session with journalists in the state capital Monday.
The governor said security is the concern of all and sundry, adding that cooperatin between the existing security agencies and he community police would enhance government’s capacity to tackle security challenges in the state.
The also said the five emirates in the state will form the bedrock of mobilisation and implementation of community policing across the state, adding that cittzens need to be security conscious at all times so that they would not be taken by surprise.
