Kano Road and Traffic Agency (KAROTA) has confiscated over 150 cartons of unregistered drugs suspected to be Potwin.
The agency also seized 30 cartons of Janify Caftarian injection estimated at the cost of Twenty Million Naira (N20m).
KAROTA’s managing director, Baffa Babba Dan-Agundi, told journalists that 150 cartons of Potwin and Janify Caftarian injection were confiscated during the operation by the men of his agency.
Dan’Agundi, who did not disclose the scene where the illicit injections were seized, said his agency would not relent in the fight against illegal import or stocking of unregistered drugs and expired food in the state.
He said that the agency would continue to fight against importation of dangerous and hard drugs and intensify efforts to arrest and prosecute offenders.
He said, “The Agency would reward anybody that brought genuine information about such illegal act to KAROTA and would offer full fortress to the person afterwards.”
The managing director called on the public to provide useful information to the agency to arrest and prosecute offenders.
