A delegation of members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Kano state council on Saturday paid a sympathy visit to the managing director of Triumph Publishing Company Ltd, Lawal Sabo Ibrahim over the demise of his father, late Alhaji Ibrahim Sai’d Chief.

The chairman of the council, Abbas Ibrahim, led a team of journalists to the family residence of the deceased located in Tudun Wada Township in Kano South, where prayer session was held for the repose of the soul of the dead.

Abbas extended the condolences of the NUJ to the family, and prayed that Allah should grant his family the fortitude to bear the loss.

The patriarch of the family, Alhaji Yakubu Saidu, who received the august mourners, expressed gratitude to members of the pen profession for sympathizing with the family.

Amongs prominent members who partook in the condolence visit are the incumbent chairman, Kano correspondent chapel, Ibrahim Shuaib Garba and his exco members. Others are former chairman, Kano correspondent chapel,  Lamara Garba Azare; former acting chairman, Kano correspondent chapel Kola Oyelere and veteran reporter, Mohmammed Kabir Yau.
