The office of the secretary to the government of the federation (SGF), has debunked the rumour that President Muhammadu Buhari’s Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari had been sacked.
The SGF, Boss Mustapha dismissed the sack letter in circulation on social media last Wednesday, purporting the sack of Kyari, as fake and advised the public ti disregard it.
Speaking on behalf of the SGF, the director of information at office of secretary to the government of the federation (OSGF), Mr. Willie Bassey, insisted that the widely circulated letter did not emanate from the SGF, pointing out that the letter does not conform with the way and manner letters were issued form the OSGF.
The letter in circulation stated that “The termination of the appointment of Mr. Abba Kyari took immediate effect. And the President has appointed Alhaji Babagana Kingibe as the new Chief of Staff (C0S).
Kyari, who has been bogged by COVID-19, has been in isolation, even though his whereabouts has remained unknown till date. He issued a release days back to indicate that he was moving to Lagos State but health officials in Lagos have denied ever receiving him in the state.
