Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) Kano command, have apprehended 50 motorists over the alleged violation of the lock-down order invoked on the state.
The Kano sector commander of the FRSC, Zubairu Mato, disclosed that officers and men of the command apprehended the alleged offenders in various parts of the state.
Mato noted that their vehicles were confiscated, adding that the alleged violators have been directed to pay N50, 000 each to retrieve their vehicles.
He stated that FRSC personnel would continue to ensure compliance with the lock-down directives, and noted that all motor parks remain closed, warning that anyone caught operating illegal motor parks in any part of the state would be arrested and punished accordingly.
He further mentioned that all driving schools remain shut down.
The FRSC boss disclosed that road safety personnel are placed on sentry at all major roads leading into the state, explaining that their duty is to also ensure total compliance with the lock-down order imposed by the state government.
