Kano state council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has enjoined its members to continue to adopt the best health practices while conducting their duties throughout their coverage of the battle to curb COVID-19 in the state.

The state council chairman of the union, Comrade Abbas Ibrahim, while flagging off the distribution of hand sanitizers to all media organizations that are operating in the state, urged media practitioners to exhibit courage and be guided by the ethics of the noble trade.

He reminded journalists to adopt safe tricks. “Don’t go after news only to end up becoming the news”, he appealed.

Responding, the chairman NUJ Kano Correspondent Chapel, Ibrahim Garba who received the items on behalf of members of the chapel thanked the leadership of the union for the gesture and he assured that the donated health materials would be put to proper use.
