Business mogul, Tajudeen Aminu Dantata, has decried the abuse of grazing land by government and private individuals, stating that the act has culminated into ceaseless framers-herders’ conflicts across Nigeria.
Dantata, speaking at the end of a partnership meeting between Miyyeti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) and Dantata Foods and Allied Products Limited on how to find measures that would promote economic prosperity through production of feeds for livestock, said the parties have agreed to enhance the production of a livestock feed named “Nurga”, saying the developed feed will help mitigate the frequent clashes between farmers and herdsmen.
He lamented that the abuse of grazing lands has condemned herders to their fate, stressing that the Nurga livestock feed would contribute to ushering long lasting peace between the feuding parties.
The secretary of MACBAN, Mallam Zubairu Ibrahim bemoaned the constant allegation of acts of banditry Against fulani herders who are operating in Northern Nigeria.
He said the allegations are worrisome, adding that the newly introduced Nurga livestock feed will contribute to the economic prosperity of the livestock industry in Northern Nigeria.
