A special Fiddau prayer was held for the repose of the soul of former Oyo State governor, Ishaq Abiola Ajimobi, by the Northwest Zone 1 of Nasrul Lahi L fatih (NASFAT) at its zonal praying ground in Kano on Sunday.
The special prayer, which was led by the deputy lead missioner, Abdulwahab Ajimati, was attended by members of the society from the three states that form the zone; Kano, Jigawa and Katsina.
Abdulwahab eulogised the former governor and described him as a bridge-builder across all races and religious affiliations.
“The world is a transit point and we should lead without fear or favor and remind ourselves that we will be made to answer for our deeds hereafter”, the cleric noted, adding that death can come to anybody at anytime and this is another wake up reminder that we all should embrace the health protocols with regards to COVID-19.
The zonal chairman, Alh. Kazeem Taoreed, urged Muslims to lead by example and be above board in leadership callings, saying ‘’we should be wary of what the outcome of our actions will be when we are not there.’’.
Prayers were also held for all those who lost their lives as a result of this Pandemic.
