Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih (NASFAT’s) newly built ultra-modern mosque in Kano has been officially approved and recognized by the Kano Emirate Council as a Jum’at Mosque and will thus be gazetted as such.
The Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, gave the approval sequel to the report of the inspection committee which assured that the mosque met all standard requirements.
The report was presented to him at his palace by the Chief Imam of Kano, Prof. Sani Zaharadeen, who led the inspection visit, and District Head of Fagge, Alh. Mahmoud Ado Bayero.
Prof. Zaharadden’s report to the emirate council traced the history of the mosque to the reign of Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau, noting that the former governor of Kano state gave NASFAT the Islamic complex, knowing fully the credibility of the society. The report also praised NASFAT on the level of facilities at the mosque and urged the emir to approve the mosque in line with Islamic tenets.
The emir, in his reaction, approved the mosque for Jum’at service and other prayers, giving his royal blessings to members and the leadership of NASFAT.
The Zonal Chairman of NASFAT, Alh. Kazeem Taoreed gave thanked the emir and members of the Kano Emirate Council for following due diligence in the approval.
