The new leadership of the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) Kano branch has said that the interest of its members would be accorded paramount attention, adding that the affairs of the branch would now be run through the system of an open government.
The newly inaugurated chairman of the branch, Aminu Sani Gandanya, in his remarks after been sworn in, said the branch under his new leadership would carry all members along.
Gandanya, who commended other contestants, noted that the resilience exhibited by I. G. Waru, Usman Umar Fari and members of the branch was a clear indication of how dear they held the branch close to their hearts.
According to him, the new exco would promote discipline, respect and orderliness in the branch, adding that the branch would encourage cordial relationship with other professional bodies operating within the state.
He noted that his emergence as the chairman of the branch was not because he was better endowed, rather it was a destiny fulfilled. He commended the founding fathers of the branch for laying down a solid foundation.
