Nigeria military authorities prepare to conduct an exercise titled Camp Highland in parts of Northern Nigeria, Judicial Sketch reports.
A statement signed by the public relations officer, Nigeria Defence Academy (NDA) Major Abubakar Abdullahi, stated that the exercise was slated to test the level of preparedness of NDA cadets currently enrolled in the academy’s regular course 67 and Short Service Course, SSC 46, adding that the exercise would serve as the last outdoor activity to be engaged in by the prospective military academy graduands.
The academy’s spokesman further said the military exercise would be conducted at Shere Hills in Plateau State and Kachia in Kaduna State. He cautioned civilians residing in the marked out areas slated for the exercise not to stray into shooting zones.
He though said that there is no need for panic, adding that there would be mass movement of military equipments, during the exercise. According to him the military would engage in community outreach exercise to further strengthen civilian/military relationship during the period.
