Kano Pillars will line up among clubs that would jostle for continental title in the CAF 2020/2021 Confederation Cup, Judicial Sketch reports.
The spokesman Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Ademola Olajire, on Friday said the football committee at the end of an e-meeting passed a verdict confirming the winners of the 2019 AITEO Cup as the designated representative of Nigeria in the 2020/2021 CAF Confederation Cup.
The committee has forwarded the name of Kano Pillatrs to CAF.
When contacted, the media officer of Kano Pillars fc, Lurwanu Idris Malikawa Garu said the club would immediately flag off preparations to storm the continental.
Malikawa said the club would put in good fight to make Nigeria proud while appealing to NFF and Nigerians to support the Kano side.
Earlier, NFF spokesman, Olajire had said the virtual meeting at which the decision was reached was attended by chairpersons of all national leagues clubsides, executive members of the football federation and president Nigeria Referees Association, adding that the meeting also agreed that the 2020/2021 edition of AITEO cup competition will kick off in September 2020 to end in May 2021
