Kano State attorney-general and commissioner for justice, Ibrahim Mukhtar, has been redeployed to the ministry of commerce.
Chief press secretary to Kano State governor, Abba Anwar, said in statement on Thursday that the redeployment involved three commissioners in the state executive council.
He said the governor “reshuffles Cabinet with the redeployment of three Commissioners to other ministries and assigning of portfolio to the newly inaugurated commissioner who took the Oath of Office at the Council meeting today, Wednesday.
“The governor hinted immediately after the inauguration of the newly appointed Commissioner that he would reshuffle his Cabinet, with the coming of the new person into the state Executive Council, Idris Garba Unguwar Rimi.
“The reshuffled Cabinet is with immediate effect. Those in the new set up include the following:
- Mahmud Muhammad Dansantsi, moved from Ministry of Commerce to Ministry of Housing and Transport,
- Barrister M.A. Lawan, moved from Ministry of Housing and Transport to Ministry of Justice,
- Barrister Ibrahim Mukhtar, moved from Ministry of Justice to Ministry of Commerce, and
- Idris Garba Unguwar Rimi, the newly appointed Commissioner is posted to the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure”, he wrote in the release.
